lyrics
Sing to you
Oh when the night
Comes on us
Dark shadows put
Upon us
And when the lamp
Is dimming
I will hold you
Singing
I wanna sing to you love
I wanna sing to you love
I want no other lover
I want no other lover
Though tides may
Seperate us
No border can
Negate us
I shall be yours
Forever
No matter what
The weather
I wanna sing to you love
I wanna sing to you love
I want no other lover
I want no other lover
Though I am cold
And lonely
My heart is
Never stony
I have a light
Within me
To you I am
Always singing
I wanna sing to you love
I wanna sing to you love
I want no other lover
I want no other lover
first saw Hilary when she toured Europe with Low in 2019, saw her 4 times on that tour. extraordinary. latest LP, Birthmarks, sees her on the edge of music. utterly perfect hatteroid
This is absolute genius. Each song has its own unique mood, but what they all have in common is that they take their time, allowing the lush, patient, dazzlingly imaginative arrangements to gradually blossom. There are a dizzying variety of instrumental textures, pleasure and wonderment around every turn. I'm getting hints of Will Oldham circa "Arise Therefore," though that album is much more spare. Proof that "experimental" doesn't necessarily mean noisy. Joe Madden
