Oh son
Oh son
What have ye done
I lie in mercy
It has begun
North seas, breathing
Teach me your blessing
Feed me your seeds
Oh lord I think I lost him
He's buried deep in
Someone's needs
Oh lord he trickles truth
When he's asleep in
Frightful dreams
Oh son what have ye done
Oh son what have ye done
Oh son
What have ye done
Another night that
You don't come home
You trawl the tease
To find a halfheart
Who'll bend her knees
Oh lord I think I lost him
Dragging my body
Through endless days
Oh lord please send him home
Im tired of filling these nights alone
Oh son what have ye done
Oh son what have ye done
Oh son what have ye done
Oh son what have ye done
Oh son what have ye done
Oh son what have ye done
Take me take me
Oh son what have ye done
Oh son what have ye done
Take me take me
Oh son what have ye done
I lie in mercy it has begun
North seas breathing
Take me into your salty seize
first saw Hilary when she toured Europe with Low in 2019, saw her 4 times on that tour. extraordinary. latest LP, Birthmarks, sees her on the edge of music. utterly perfect hatteroid
This is absolute genius. Each song has its own unique mood, but what they all have in common is that they take their time, allowing the lush, patient, dazzlingly imaginative arrangements to gradually blossom. There are a dizzying variety of instrumental textures, pleasure and wonderment around every turn. I'm getting hints of Will Oldham circa "Arise Therefore," though that album is much more spare. Proof that "experimental" doesn't necessarily mean noisy. Joe Madden
