lyrics
Uh oh
I got a hard on for a boy who can't clean up his past
Even better if he sticks to things that don't
Did you say that he quotes Voltaire
Well uh uh oh Well uh uh oh
See me run see him come
Another drunken fumbling
Well uh uh oh well uh uh oh
I've never quiet for a man who can play well with his hands
Too bad I spent so many moons looking out for you
I'll never wait I'll never wait I'll never wait for anyone
Oh no oh no
I didn't want your sultry tongue
I only want what I'd begun
I didn't want what drew me on
I'll never wait I'll never wait I'll never wait for anyone
I'll never wait I'll never wait I'll never wait for anyone
Oh no oh no
Oh no oh no
Well uh uh oh well uh uh oh
Well uh uh oh well uh uh oh
first saw Hilary when she toured Europe with Low in 2019, saw her 4 times on that tour. extraordinary. latest LP, Birthmarks, sees her on the edge of music. utterly perfect hatteroid
This is absolute genius. Each song has its own unique mood, but what they all have in common is that they take their time, allowing the lush, patient, dazzlingly imaginative arrangements to gradually blossom. There are a dizzying variety of instrumental textures, pleasure and wonderment around every turn. I'm getting hints of Will Oldham circa "Arise Therefore," though that album is much more spare. Proof that "experimental" doesn't necessarily mean noisy. Joe Madden
